discussion of ideas and exchange of best practice on the use of standards in
information management and more recently, the management of digital assets
across European member states and associate countries.

EMII/mda Consultation Meeting: A joint solution to managing cultural
digital assets
Starr Auditorium, Tate Modern
June 20th 2003
The purpose of the EMII/mda consultation meeting was to open up a discussion
on the subject of digital assets management within the cultural heritage sector.
The discussion promoted awareness of the specific issues and gave the
opportunity to the participants to see whether EMII's plans meet the day-to-day
needs of the sector. More crucially, it assisted EMII in clarifying the
assumptions it holds regarding the nature of future work in managing digital
assets.
