Jean Pierre Dalbera is the head of
Research and Technology, Ministry of Culture and Communication: a service which
coordinates several hundreds of engineers and technicians whose scientific work
relates to the cultural fields (archaeology, history of art, ethnology,
conservation, architectural research, musicology, sociology and economy of the
culture and the communication, cultural and artistic data processing
applications). He is directly responsible for the national digitisation
