Brief project description (published aims and objectives):
The project aims to compare the characteristics of religious sculpture of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in southern and northern Europe. It aims to conduct a systematic scientific study of such sculpture as well as by experts from other disciplines. It also aims to assess the best means of conservation and restoration. An international conference will also be organised and the findings of the conference published. The project will create multimedia tools (a CD-Rom and internet site) as well as providing access to a database relating to the sculptures and offering bibliographic information in three languages.

Brief project description (published aims and objectives):
The target of this project is to analyse and to study the heritage made up of valuable goods, which belongs to the universities of Granada, Venice and Coimbra. To this end, a preliminary inventory of this heritage is necessary. The three partners will also co-operate in order to bring to the fore the artistic relations, the similarities and the existing differences between their own heritage. Then, a catalogue, CD-Rom, books and an Internet site will disseminate the study results.

Brief project description (published aims and objectives):
As its title says, this project aims to establish virtual itineraries for textile heritage in order to make museums, factories, commercial enterprises and textile regions more attractive. The project involves the study of a co-operation model for textile museums and sites, a meeting of the project group for the harmonisation of contents. The result of this work will be the production of a CD-ROM, the creation of a Web site, and the publication of brochures.

Brief project description (published aims and objectives):
This project aims at showing the European public the existence of a common culture for prehistoric men from different regions throughout Europe through the promotion of rock paintings. The means taken into account correspond to the realisation of a didactic instrument which will gather together manual support and electronic support (moulding, fac-simile of instruments, CD-ROM, and a Webpage). Thanks to this cooperation workshops will be organised in order to elaborate schedules, and to put together educational and scientific material on the three sites. The result will be the creation of a European element to this work.

Brief project description (published aims and objectives):
The project EUROCLIO aims at stimulating the awareness of the cultural heritage, of the knowledge of the history of european population and of european identity. This project intends to organize exchanges among professionals as well as the creation by June 2000 of a website euroclio, with three different sections which will be developed during all programme, that is to say:
  1. The creation of a database on the History of Europe, HISTEUROPA
  2. The preparation of an exhibition gathering all masterpieces of the European History
  3. The setting up of a permanent forum of research and exchanges on the History of Europe, COMPARE

NESOS - database of the Atlantic islands is an initiative of the Center of Studies of History of Atlantic and the Madeira Tecnopolo.

Nesos, gives you through the text or image the indispensable instruments for the knowledge and study of the historical past of the insular world.

Nesos, will allow a fast one it consults on-line of books, magazines, newspapers, documents, maps, pictures and engravings.
